technology in nursing...

Helpful or hindering:

The use of technology within the nursing profession is hindering the way nurses can communicate with their patients. The importance of the nurse-client relationship is suffering over the lack of communication and socializing between the two. Although technology is aiding in nursing care and time-efficacy, the way the nurse interacts and converses with the patient can determine many signs and problems the patient has, therefore more quickly unhinging the real cause of their suffering. Technology is acting as a barrier within the nurse-client relationship and is dissolving the true care the client needs to experience in order to have a positive outlook and attitude towards recovery.
